Winter Storm Ramblings
Is it really going to snow? Pictured below is Harry, the inspiration behind my song Washashore Cowgirl.
I am sitting here with my chocolate lab, Gus, waiting for Lorraine to dump snow on our little sandbar. Snow days, for me, invite creativity and quietness. I often yearn for days like today as winter makes its way. This weekend, I am making my way back on the road. I’ll be playing two new venues this weekend, supporting Reed Foehl. I’ll return to the familiar stage at the Fall River Narrows Center for the Arts. Then, I head to North Adams to play Studio 9 Porches, which looks like an incredible venue. Sunday, I make my way to what many might vote as the best beer in Massachusetts, Tree House Brewery. I’m excited to bring back a 6-pack of the King Julius. I’ll bring my guitarist, Brian Miller, on the road for this run. It will be our first run out together, and I’m ready to make some noise.

Calling all songwriters! It’s always a highlight to hear what other creatives have been up to. I am thrilled to be a judge for another year with the New England Songwriting Competition. If you are a songwriter, take a chance and submit a song or two. You have nothing to lose if you don’t try.
I have some exciting news coming your way in the next newsletter! If you enjoy getting updates, please subscribe to my monthly ramblings. If you have the means to be a paid subscriber and support my art, you will get some “behind the scenes” of what I am up to.
Til next time,
Monica
