July has always been one of my favorite months of the year. It's not only because it's my birthday month but also because it brings back many childhood memories. Do you remember the freedom of just being a kid in the summer? I grew up on a ranch in East Texas, and I remember long days at the town pool, rodeos at our ranch at night with friends and family, and so many cookouts in our neighborhood. I got back to Cape Cod on July 1st from a week out in the Midwest, and needless to say, everyone is here on our tiny sandbar. The Fourth of July was incredible. Washashore Music, my music school, had its first float in the town parade! It took a village of parents to help me pull this off, as I had shows once I crossed the bridge! Here is a little video of our float! I was happy to represent Princess Leia playing a banjo βon her knee.β
On a side note, I have been training for the iconic 7-miler Falmouth Road Race. I'll be running with my husband and son this year as part of the numbers for non-profits. I'm raising money for our non-profit organization, Vinegrass, and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps raise money for our music scholarships and instrument donations. Here are some pictures from the last two Falmouth Road Races we did together.

Speaking of Vinegrass, we celebrate our 10th Annual Music Festival on Sunday, October 6th, at the Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod. Lineup and tickets are on sale TODAY! Grab yours for 42% off at the link below:
I have some shows this month and beyond; you can check out the full schedule here. This Thursday, July 11th, I kick off the 2024 Atwood Concert Series in Chatham, MA, with my band featuring Brian Miller on guitar and Paul Chase on bass. My buddy Tom Hagerty will perform with his full band after my set. You can grab your tickets here:
Iβd love for you to join me for my annual birthday bash at Harvest Gallery and Wine Bar on Saturday, July 13th, at 8 PM; reservations are recommended. I'll have Brian Miller on guitar and my buddy Brian Sances join us for a few songs!
Since I have paid subscribers here, I wanted to share some behind-the-scenes footage of my trip to the Midwest. Please sign up as a paid subscriber to support my music!
As always, thank you for being here! And please excuse any typos. I'm just a Texas girl with a little bit of howdy!
