Last weekend, I hit the road with Reed Foehl and his band. What a weekend, folks! Touring is work, but I gotta say that we had a hell of a time playing shows together. If you haven’t checked out Reed Foehl, do yourself a favor and take a second to check out his music. He is incredibly talented and an all-around great guy.

It’s an honor to share the stage with someone who has been my friend for decades. Sierra is blazing the trail for women in the Bluegrass/Americana genre. I am stoked to support her on Saturday, March 9th, at Sanders Theatre and Sunday, March 10th, at the Narrows Center for the Performing Arts. The picture above is from the Americana Music Festival back in 2018.
What’s better than books in a library? A monthly concert series at the Truro Public Library! I’m excited about this show on March 9th. Brian Miller will join me for an all-acoustic set. I've got some new fun ones to debut for you all. It will be a doubleheader for me as I will rush up to Sanders Theatre right after; but as they say, that’s the way it goes! Mark your calendar: March 30th at 8 PM. I’ll be hitting Harvest Gallery and Wine Bar with The Round-Ups! Don’t forget to make your reservations at Reservations Here

Raul Malo is one of a kind! He is the frontman of The Mavericks, a Latin/Americana rock band. I shared the story of how Raul and I met in my last newsletter. This picture was taken before The Mavericks did an all-acoustic set at the Station Inn at the Americana Festival. This guy is a workhorse. His band had already played several shows at the conference, and he was asked to do this late-night set by Jed Hilley, Executive Director of the Americana Music Association; for those of you who were at this show, it was one for the books! I’ll share the stage with Raul on March 22-24 with a SOLD-OUT show at City Winery in Boston, Jane Pickens Theatre in Newport, RI, and Tarrytown Music Hall in Westchester, NY. I can’t wait to sit in the back of these theatres and watch Raul mesmerize the crowd.

When I moved to Cape Cod back in 2004, I used to attend the Chefs Bluegrass Jam. It was a weekly jam that rotated to different people’s houses on Thursday nights. The Chefs Jam kinda dwindled away for various reasons, one due to the pandemic. I decided that we needed to revive the bluegrass jam once again. Last Thursday, I kicked off “Pickin’ at the Ho” bluegrass jam in Orleans at the legendary Land Ho Restaurant. It was an incredible turnout, and it felt SO good to jam again. There is no better thing to do on the Outer Cape in the winter than to pick bluegrass tunes with your friends. If you are a picker, join us on Thursdays at 7:30 PM.
Since I do have paid subscribers here, I wanted to share something even more behind the scenes for them. Here is behind-the-scenes footage from last weekend! If you would like to support my music, please feel free to sign up as a paid subscriber!
As always, thank you for being here! And please excuse any typos!..
