April and May have shaped up to be quite the busy months for me. April, I flew away to the warm waters of Aruba, where I took some time for “me.” On Monday, I got back from a quick trip to Sevilla, Spain; needless to say, it was my favorite place I’ve ever visited. It is a must if you have not put it on your list. It was a magical city, and the Tinto de Verano was delicious. I have been reflecting on the first part of this year and the goals I have to embark on for the rest of 2024. As many of you know, I own a music school, Washashore Music on Cape Cod, in the beachside town of Orleans, MA. Last June, we started an expansion project to add another teaching studio, a waiting area, and an upstairs office. It was almost a year-long project, but I am SO happy to be back in the building, and I have some of the most fantastic teachers on my team. We offer lessons in voice, piano, ukulele, fiddle, violin, viola, bass, guitar, mandolin and songwriting. Teaching is my other love. Here’s a little video of Washashore Music.
I am gearing up to get back in the saddle to perform some shows and travel. On Saturday, May 18, @ 8 PM, I head back to one of my favorite local spots, The Harvest Gallery and Wine Bar, for a show with my band, The Round-Up. We start at 8 p.m. Come hungry and thirsty if you want to join us for the evening because they have delicious tapas and the best cocktails on Cape Cod. Making a reservation would be a good idea! I’ll be updating my website with a list of all shows over the weekend, so make sure to pop over to see where I’ll be this summer!

As always, thank you for being here! And please excuse any typos. I’m just a Texas girl with a little bit of Howdy!
