Good afternoon, friends,

I can’t believe we are already halfway through October. October 6th was a memorable day. With a sold-out crowd and beautiful weather, Vinegrass celebrated our 10th-anniversary festival at Truro Vineyards. Thank you to everyone who attended and for your continued support. Vinegrass was a dream for me, a way to give back to those who helped me in my musical career. One of the highlights was seeing Tyler Harmon, one of our scholarship recipients, perform. I have included some pictures from our photographer, Joe Navas.

10-Year Vinegrass Festival - Oct 6, 2024

I am excited to kick off our last show at Harvest Gallery & Wine Bar for the year with Brian Miller this weekend, Saturday, October 19th, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. They will be closing for the season, so this will be a special show. I’ll also be at Oysterfest on Sunday, October 20th at 11 am with The Round-Up. If you are interested in attending Saturday’s show at Harvest, it’s a good idea to make a reservation.

Upcoming Shows: November 2nd at Marion Arts Center and December 31st at 4 pm and 5 pm at Orpheum Theater for First Night Chatham.

I’m going to take some time to retreat and write new music for my third record this winter. Again, thank you all for your support. If you aren’t a paid subscriber, I’d love to have you as one. As an independent musician, it's very expensive to bring a band on the road, make records, hire a publicist, etc. Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated. As a token of my appreciation, you will receive behind-the-scenes content from tours, the studio, demos of songs that we will pitch for the new record, and more.

In closing, I hope to see you all out and about sooner than later!

Saddle Up,

Monica Rizzio

For those paid subscribers, here's a fun bluegrass song I wrote and recorded but have not found a home for yet. It features Sierra Hull on mandolin, Justin Moses on banjo, and Bronwyn Keith Hynes on fiddle. This song was influenced by a friend's experience in Deadwood, South Dakota! I’d love to hear your thoughts on the song!
